Dehesa de Los Llanos is the name of an estate located less than five kilometers from the city of Albacete, with a fascinating history dating back to the 17th century, making it one of the main meeting points of the economic, social, cultural and religious life of the city.
With a long tradition of agriculture and livestock, today in Dehesa de los Llanos we produce artisan Manchego cheese (Best Cheese in the World 2012), wines from Tierra de Castilla under the brand CIMA Mazacruz, as well as other gourmet products from the area: extra virgin olive oil, lavender or rosemary honey, lavender essence or canned pickled red partridge. We take great care to offer original products that transmit the personality of the land that produces them and the affection of the hands that make them. We add to the traditional methods the highest technology.
In 2012 our Gran Reserva cheese was awarded Best Cheese in the World Cheese Awards at the International World Cheese Awards .
Our cheese factory is the only one in Spain currently active that has obtained this award throughout the 31 editions of the World Cheese Awards Competition. We strive, every day, to maintain and improve our high quality standards to offer an artisan and natural cheese. Thus, our three cures of Manchega sheep cheese have been awarded in all editions of the contest until today. All our products are artisan, in fact, Dehesa de Los Llanos cheese is lactose-free cheese and without lysozyme from egg.
