the history of dehesa los llanos in Albacete

Dehesa de Los Llanos produces two different labels of wines from Tierra de Castilla under the brand name Cima MAZACRUZ wines.

Dehesa de Los Llanos has reserved one of its best plots, already used by Franciscan monks in the 17th century, to grow the Mediterranean grape varieties best suited to the terrain and the extreme climate of the estate: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Tempranillo, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Graciano to make red wines, and Sauvignon Blanc and Verdejo for white wines. With them, and after the processes of maturation, blending and barrel aging, Dehesa de Los Llanos produces two different labels of wines from Tierra de Castilla under the brand name Cima MAZACRUZ wines.

The winery, just 300 meters from the 50 hectares of vineyards, is housed in a beautiful 19th century building, restored and equipped with the most advanced production technology. This is where the wine is made and aged in French oak barrels from the most prestigious cooperages.
